Our annual Leadership Academy, developed and conducted by the University of Florida, offers a challenging and engaging learning experience with a combination of classroom (3-4 days) and online learning over a 3-month period. As part of the class, students complete an action learning project as agreed upon with their supervisor to implement back in their communities. Another valuable part of the program is the solid network of fellow classmates that serves students well beyond the class. It is designed to help aging services professionals at any level in their organization accelerate their leadership development so they are better equipped to serve our field. The mission of our Leadership Academy is to develop the next generation of leaders who will transform the aging services field and fulfill the leadership needs of LeadingAge Florida members. Applications are accepted year-round and requirements include an essay, summary of qualifications, and two letters of reference. Earn up to 54 CEUs!
